Mr. Weiss will lead two workshops on sex addiction at the 10^th European Symposium on Addictive Disorders at Guoman Tower in London. On May 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., he will host an opening plenary session about the impact of Internet and technology on intimacy and relationships titled, “Untangling the Web.”

“There is a new generation of people struggling with sex, relationship and porn addictions,” said Mr. Weiss. “Treating these disorders requires an understanding of the ways problem abuse of online pornography, “friend finder” apps, chat rooms and other Internet-based technologies are impacting the personal, social and professional lives of those who become addicted.”

Organized by the Addiction Recovery Foundation and co-sponsored by Elements Behavioral Health, the UKESAD symposium is Europe’s largest conference on addiction treatment. This month, clinician, author and international speaker on addictive disorders, Robert Weiss, LCSW, CSAT-S, is being promoted from Director of Intimacy and Sexual Disorders Services to Senior Vice President of Clinical Development for the Elements Behavioral Health system.
